Undergraduate & high school research programs

BRITE Program @ Boston University

We are happy to be a part of the NSF-funded Bioinformatics Research and Interdisciplinary Training Experience (BRITE) Program at Boston University. This summer undergraduate research program is focused on the fundamentals of bioinformatics analysis, including development of new bioinformatics tools to address computational and mathematical challenges in biology. The program is open to non-BU students, and especially encourages students from minority groups traditionally underrepresented in the sciences. Contact the BU Bioinformatics program coordinator if you would like more information (johannas@bu.edu).

Application deadline: December. Click the link above for more information on specific deadlines.

SURF Program @ Boston University

We are part of the NSF-funded Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program at Boston University. Application deadline: March. Click the link above for more information on specific deadlines.

UROP

UROP funds BU undergraduates students to conduct their own, independent research projects in BU labs. The program runs year-round, but summer UROP awardees get additional professional development training and can participate in social activities with the other biology-affiliated REU programs. Click here for more information on applying to the program.

Application deadline: Quarterly. Click the link above for more information on specific deadlines.
